| Sketching a Face- Basic Proportions |
 |
It's been a while since my last video. The
reason was that I had to wait to get my new
9x12 Intuos to replace the old 4x5 Graphire I
was using for the past videos.
Anyway... So I got a few requests of people
wanting me to show proportions of the face
and how to start it. So this is a pretty
basic attempt at that. I recorded it at
actual speed, but it seems really slow
because I'm still getting used to this new
tablet. I'm at least 3 times faster with
paper and a pencil.
Programs used were Painter IX and Camtasia
Studio. For those wondering what brush I
used, it was a 2B Pencil with default
settings, at a 2.2 size and with a light
light blue-gray colour.

| Sketching and Experience Design |

June 1, 2007 lecture by Bill Buxton for the
Stanford University Human-Computer
Interaction Seminar (CS 547). Designing for
experience comes with a whole new level of
complexity. This is especially true in this
emerging world of information appliances,
reactive environments, and ubiquitous
computing, where, along with those of their
users, we have to factor in the convoluted
behaviors of the products themselves. In
this talk, Bill discusses the design process
itself, from the perspective of methods,
organization, and composition.

Curve Sketching Using Calculus - Part 1of 2.
In this video I discuss the following topics
to help produce the graph of a function:
domain, x-y intercepts, symmetry of the
function, intervals of increase/decrease,
local maximums and minimums, concavity,
inflection points, horizontal and vertical
asymptotes (whew!). all of this is too much
for one 10 minute video, so the rest is in
part 2!
