The Legend of Zelda main theme played on
theremin with synth backing. This video is
for anyone that loves the Legend of Zelda.
Please spread it across the internet. The
goal is to get to Koji Kondo.
UPDATE 8/10/2008: This video is over two
years old. Please check out my youtube
channel by clicking on "ooo6". My theremin
playing has improved very much and I've made
many other videos since this one. Leave me a
comment on the channel and I may just redo
this video, just for the Zelda fans... and
with much better accompaniment too. XD

| Gnarls Barkley Crazy Theremin Jam |

This video is an experiment to see how
rapidly the theremin can be injected into the
world's collective consciousness. It's
amazing that not everyone knows what a
theremin is. It was one of the first
electronic musical instruments ever made and
it was invented in 1919. Are Cee-Lo and
Danger Mouse from Gnarls Barkley really
theremin players? There's only one way to
find out!
some notes:
The main theremin was passed through iZotope
Trash, an awesome software guitar effects
plugin. The video was edited entirely in
Adobe After Effects. The hand on the carpet
was to simulate wind noise, definitely cause
for confusion. This also means all the parts
of the song were performed with hands only.

A short introductory theremin lesson to
playing notes, executing dynamic vibratto,
and dynamic volume with the theremin. Playing
errors included to demonstrate how difficult
it is to play the theremin well.
To get a closer look at the aereal finger
technique, right click on the video, select
"zoom in" set to desired zoom, and drag the
image to where you can see the hand.

| Theremin Killed the Radio Star (take 2) |

"Video Killed The Radio Star" played on the
theremin by Jon Bernhardt at his house in
Massachusetts, on June 10, 2006. Why another
version? Jon was asked to contribute to a TV
show being developed by Vh1, and they wanted
to include an intro explaining what a
theremin is (hence the first 100 seconds of
this clip). Jon and fellow Lothars member
Dean Stiglitz shot it in one take. More

"Dont Worry, Be Happy!"
A crude, but awesome video of Bobby
McFerrin's Don't Worry Be Happy, played on
theremin. With the exception of the vocal
part, all of the different solo, harmony and
rhythm tracks were recorded and played back
in a SINGLE take using Ableton Live.

Notes: Sections of the video are hideously
out of tune, but I've been told it only adds
to the awesomeness. Also, Expirement is a new
word I just made up. (lame excuse for not
