Agrobiznes z 24 września 2008. Jesienna
pogoda psuje szyki producentom warzyw i
owoców, przez ostatni tydzień deszcze nie
pozwalały na zbiory stąd delikatne, ale
jednak widoczne podwyżki cen jabłek
deserowych i śliwek. Skończyły się już
ogórki gruntowe, coraz mniej i coraz gorszej
jakości są pomidory. Rozpoczął się sezon
paprykowy, ale chociaż papryki jest coraz
więcej jej ceny rosną ze względu na koszty
dogrzewania. Większośc warzyw drożeje, ale
zdaniem ekspertów jeśli pogoda się poprawi
mamy jeszcze szansę na obniżki. Pogarsza
się jakośc fasolki szparagowej, a to obok
kalafiorów i brokułów towar poszukiwany
przez zakłądy do przygotowywania mrożonek.
Rozkręca się za to skup warzyw
korzeniowych, kapusty i ziemniaków.

from September 24, 2008. Autumn weather is
messing with the work of the producers of
vegetables and fruits, last week's showers
didn't allow gathering what caused slight but
visible raise in the price of table apple and
plum. Cucumbers are out, tomatoes are running
out and being less and less quality. Paprika
season just started, even though there's more
and more of it the prices go up due to
heating costs. Most of the vegatables rise in
price but experts say there are chances for
price cuts as long as the weather improves.
The quality of string bean worsens and next
to cauliflower and croccoli it's most wanted
by the proccesing plants. On the other way
the trade of root vegatables like cabbage and
potatoes is taking a spin.

wow, were are really amazed about the flood
of comments in the last hours. so thank you
all for your kind and unkind comments. we
really appreciated that! sorry that we can
not answer all... it's just too much!
just one word to all the people who are
concerned about people dying of starvation:
we are concerned too. but not doing this
project does change nothing. it doesn't make
the world a better place.
if you are really concerned about the
distribution of wealth then do something
about it! read books about the real cause of
hunger. talk with your friends and family
about it. change your own life and try to
change politics. buy and support the right
things. it is not people using vegetables
differently than usual that make the world a
bad place. it's all of us wanting too much.
our own car, a new cellphone, a bigger house
with air condition, more money...
sending the vegetables to africa does not
help. on the contrary it destroys the markets
there, so people can not sell their own
produce, because the imported one is too
cheap.
and by the way: people have used vegetables
for music for centuries. also in africa.
