In the United States, boxy compacts are still
a left-of-center novelty. People buy the
Scion xB and Honda Element for their
space-efficiency, versatility and neo-Bauhaus
design. And they certainly don't mind the
kind of gas mileage that's made possible by
thrifty four-cylinder engines. While sales of
such cars are modest (about 60,000 Scion xBs
were sold in 2006, for example), the xB in
particular is a draw for young buyers, who
are worth their weight in iPods.

bomber. Features footage of it's maiden
flight, wheel lockup and flameout, and it's
infamous collision with an F-104 in 1966.

| Wings - Great Planes - XB-70 Valkyrie - Part 1 |

Remember the documentary series called Wings
that the Discovery Channel used to air over a
decade ago? It also translated into series
named Wings Over the Gulf, Wings of the Red
Star, Wings Over the Pacific, and even
spawned a weekday edition at 6 pm called
Weekday Wings. Remember the Wings Marathon on
New Year's Day? Here is a little bit of
nostalgia from those days. My best friend's
uncle taped all of the episodes from one or
two marathons and he (the best friend) gave
them to me literally days before he went off
to basic training. I didn't edit out most of
the commercials you see since, well, they do
show their age.
Here is part 1 of 2 of the Great Planes
series on the XB-70 Valkyrie.

| North American XB-70 "Valkyrie" |

The North American XB-70 "Valkyrie" was
conceived for the Strategic Air Command in
the 1950s as a high-altitude waveriding
bomber that could fly three times the speed
of sound (Mach 3). Two aircraft were built
and flew test flights in the 1960s.The
Valkyrie was configured as a canard delta
wing, and built largely of stainless steel,
honeycomb sandwich panels, and titanium. It
was designed to make use of a phenomenon
called "compression lift", achieved when the
shock wave generated by the airplane flying
at supersonic speeds supports part of the
airplane's weight.

Here my 2nd attempted at making a MV. This
one is with Ya Si and Xiao Bei. The song is
迷宮(Mi Gong) aka "Maze" by 7朵花 (7
Flowers). I also added the lyrics in Chinese
and Pinyin and took the advices from all
those who seen my first MV Gan Qing Xian with
Er Qi and Xiao Bei.
